Top 5 Thursday: My Favorite “Jetset Holiday” Moments

#

Let’s just say it: The best gifts are gifts of experience. Period. Be it snowboarding the best trails in Japan or cruising on a yacht to Dubai, crossing an adventure off your bucket list is a gift worth getting. So in honor of a Very Jetset Holiday, here are my must-have moments.

Tis’ the season to make our members smile…

1. The unparalleled rush of adrenaline you’ll get from driving more than 100 mph in someone else’s car at Skip Barber Racing School in Atlanta, Palm Beach & Laguna Seca. For 35 years, Skip Barber has operated a fully integrated system of racing and driving schools on more than 20 of the most prestigious tracks in North America. Whether you’re a wannabe professional racer, a sports car enthusiast or just an everyday driver in need of some help, the inspiring instructors at Skip Barber Racing Schools will teach you how to take on the road in some of the world’s most high-performance vehicles. Check out our video

2. The unimaginable feeling of watching
a five ton African Elephant stomp towards you on the refreshingly down-to-earth Kenyan adventure with Extraordinary Journeys. Let’s not forget the personal moments you’ll share with iconic Maasai and Samburu warrior guides as you track down the Big Five.

Travel Tuesday. @Skip Barber Racing School.

For 30 years Skip Barber has operated a fully integrated system of racing and driving schools on more than 20 of the most prestigious tracks in North America. Whether you’re a wannabe professional racer, sports car enthusiast or everyday driver in need of some help, the inspiring instructors at Skip Barber Racing Schools in Palm Beach, Atlanta and Laguna Seca will teach you how to take on the road, in some of the world’s most bad-ass vehicles. After all, who doesn’t want to feel some high-tech, exotic machinery under their feet? If slamming on the accelerator until you get to 150mph in someone else’s car sounds too good to be true, then Skip Barber Racing School is for you.

Manic Monday.

We came, we saw, we drove…. what’s better than some grits and gear shifting? Here’s Atlanta by @Pattymayo116 and me, in 36 hours.

Weekend recap from start to finish… go!

GO. Atlanta, Georgia.
Saturday. 8 am.

Step 1: Book a flight on Tuesday, for Saturday morning.
Step 2: Find a friend who is crazy (and incredible) enough to book it with you.
Step 3: Do not, I repeat, do not sleep through your alarm and miss your flight.
Step 4: Board the 8 am to Atlanta via American Airlines (I know, sorry Delta)
Step 5: Splurge on a ‘stang… the convertible is worth the coin.

Lunch. Flying Biscuit.
Saturday. 11:30 am

I’m a simple gal, and @Pattymayo116 knows how to make me smile… breakfast. Any day, all day, no matter where we are, it’s by far my favorite way to get a taste of a place. Enter Flying Biscuit. Situated on a shop-filled-block in Candler Park, Flying Biscuit is a college-coeds dream come true: whole wheat biscuits, organic oatmeal pancakes with peach compote, a hippie vibe and southern smiles.
