I grew up playing hide and seek in my mom’s Tumi luggage. I’d sneak into my dad’s suitcase as he stacked his sweaters for business trips.
At some point this became highly inappropriate.
But the classic black Tumi cases always screamed travel to me, in the watching-your-parents-wave-goodbye-from-the-car sort of way. Functional to a tee, the basic shapes and colors were simply not for me. Any tried traveler can attest that sometimes you need utility and durability (like when I’m hauling my suitcase three miles over mini Venetian bridges). But I will not sacrifice my style for sturdiness.
Oh hello there @TumiTravel’s new collection for Opening Ceremony at @TheACEHotel in New York. Designed in their signature ballistic nylon, these color-blocked bags are sure to standout – and stay grabby hands free at baggage claim.
Available on Friday, May 14th at the ACE Hotel.
There’s only 100 of every item, so drop it like its hot.
