Top 5 Thursday: Gift and Shout!

!

There are some pros and cons to the holidays. Con: heels for day and food by the pound. Pros: Friends, family and… pressies. I always opt for a plane ticket, but, still there are a few others things - both small and big - that have caught my big brown eye. Here’s to hoping Santa!

Wear it Wednesday: Electric Zoo.

!

I love nothing more than dressing the part… especially when the part let’s me play a punk-rave princess. We’re no strangers to the bangers, but this year Electric Zoo is three days, four stages, three outfits. Let’s do this.

I love nothing more than dressing the part, but sometimes I don’t know the part until I play it. Climb the Acropolis in chiffon, sip Rose at Nammos Beach in Missoni and wink the night away at Cavo Paradiso in platforms. It’s apres-beach at it’s best, and chicest. So pack it up, Greek Island style. Sometimes it’s not just where you go, but what you wear when you get there…

I love nothing more than dressing the part, especially when the part could potentially date Richie from “The Royal Tenenbaums. I’ve never re-blogged for a Wednesday post - but GQ’s “So You Wanna Look Like A Wes Anderson Character” made the cut. Don’t forget the owl…

$ I love nothing more than dressing the part… especially when the part involves a little bit of patriotism. Whether you’re caped at the Cape or striped for a sail, this Fourth is all about a combination of color. Suit up with bold patterns, Boat-appropropriate staples and statement accessories that can help you get from beach to bonfire without a breather. Succumb to the after dark scene of Miami Beach, retreat to California for a food- and wine-focused long weekend or take a dip in a private plunge pool looking out at the turquoise waters of Antigua. No matter where you are, you better be firework ready. So pack it up, July 4th style. Sometimes it’s not just where you go, but what you wear when you get there…

I love nothing more than dressing the part, especially when the part is that of a Hamptons resident. It’s the time of year when I move my moves East of Manhattan and shack up in Sag Harbor. A place where jean shorts can get you anywhere (except into Sen at 9 pm) and small town luxuries come in the form of Lobster Rolls. Whether you’re on a boat in the harbor, a house on a hill or taking a bed at Barons Cove Inn, Sag Harbor is a timeless escape that’s as much a classic, as it is a hot spot. Sometimes it’s not just where you go, but what you wear when you get there…

There’s something about Paris in the summer – late sunsets on the Canal St.-Martin, picnics in Place des Vosges and dinners en plein air along the Seine. Days are spent shopping at Collete and nights spent sipping wine at Chez Janou. Here at Jetsetter, we’ve been dreaming of a jaunt to the City of Light so we teamed up with Refinery29 to give away an adventure for two to Paris, including airfare, four nights at the Hotel Francois 1er, and an exclusive shopping experience. But there’s a lot to see and do in Pari’, so we’ve mapped out the ideal game plan (or ”outfit strategy”) for making the most of a French adventure…. Allez, allez What to Pack: Paris

I love nothing more than dressing that part…. especially when it comes to school girl attire or army-gear. Last year, Arielle Nachmani from Something Navy shared four timeless, fool-proof looks that even dorks like me can copy for Coachella. Here are my essentials…

Sustenance. I’m not down with dehydration. Stock up on sustenance and take care of yourself - it’s a H.O.T. marathon of music, not a sprint.

Dress. Get distinctive and wear a look that is all you.

Boots. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. A gal should always be prepared, so strap on some shoes that will take you from tent, to tent, and anywhere beyond.

Speakers. Don’t let the dancing die out. Carry your own set of speakers for in between sets.

Friends. There’s no better accessory.

Hat. Where’s your head at, where’s your head at?

Paint. A perfectly childish midday activity.

For all things Coachella….

I love nothing more than dressing the part, especially when the part requires undressing (wink). Enter @4th Amendment aka Tim Geoghegan and Matthew Ryan’s new line that’s giving us a way protest those intrusive TSA X-ray scanners without saying a word. They’re not saying they disapprove of the airport security protocols, after all, safety first… but that doesn’t mean we need to strip silently. Check out 4th Amendments Metallic ink-printed undershirts,  underwear, socks and more. And to think, it all started with a simple strip down TSA lane.

There’s nothing I love more than dressing the part, especially when your clothing is the only thing left to hold on to. From climbing a volcano to pitching a tent at ‘Roo, navigating the great outdoors is no small feat…. and neither is looking cool while climbing. Adrenaline is the name of the game, and Gilt & Jetsetter are in it to win it. Check out the Outdoor Adventurer sale, now through December 7th with serious ski vacations like the Cervo Hotel in Switzerland. I mean seriously, who doesn’t look sexy in googles!?

There’s nothing I love more than dressing the part…. except for packing light while doing it. It takes some serious skill to go carry-on, especially when ski gear or your boyfriends sweaters are part of the pack’.

Your travel co-conspirator is important, but not as important as your two-wheeled beauty. And just in case harsh winds and rough roads are too much for your baby to take, you can hunker-it-down in the Tenere Expedition Tent by Nomad Tent

Simple to put up (only 3 poles for assembly), lightweight (13 lbs) and spacious (30 sq ft), your bike will be warm and cozy before you can figure out how to light a fire. And with this much space, you can hang out, dance around, stand up and shout… we don’t care. Just as long as your bike is happy.

Hotel. Zamas Tulum.

Soak up a chill Caribbean vibe down the street from ancient Mayan monuments at this beachside resort. Laze the day away, sipping on lethal margaritas and swinging in colorful hammocks in open-air palapa-roofed cabanas. There’s eco-friendly touches like solar showers and a laid-back vibe which means shoes are optional. Hammocks, check. Hammocks, check. Hammocks…. check.

Find yourself by the sea at Zamas Tulum, on Jetsetter.com.
